Masters in the Martial
Arts, Danny and Theresa
Zaino have been serving the Martial Arts
community for over 25 years. Danny,
a former member of the US Army Karate Team holds an 8th
degree Black Belt in Japanese / Okinawan GoJu-Ryu.
He is also a former Military and Florida Police Officer
and in 1984 won the title of “Kumite Champion” at
the Police Olympics in Florida. In 1997 he
developed his "Art of
the Pure Warrior Sports Tonfa" for
sports martial arts competition. Theresa holds a 6th
degree Black Belt in Japanese / Okinawan GoJu-Ryu and is
a championship competitor in her own rights.
Together in 1988 they developed their “Florida
Palm Coast Karate Events” State
tournament circuit and in 2000 developed the "National
Promoters League", a way for
promoters around the world to promote their event on a
National and International level. The Zaino's have
also been promoting their "Battle
of Florida" National Martial Arts
Championships for 2 decades and have been awarded Hall
of Fame "Promoters of the Year" 7 times since
1994. In 2000 they also produced their Team
Americas "World
Martial
Arts Show Team" formerly known as
"National Team Pepsi" which has become
the featured entertainment at some of the World's top
martial arts hall of fame events with the demand
for their exciting performances growing with each year.
Today Danny and Theresa and their three children
Tony, Joey, and Dominique continue to keep busy with their
documentary/reality film "Born
to Compete" which is the story of a
unique martial arts family who face head-on all the
trails and tribulations of competing and performing in
the martial arts industry today and continue their
efforts to promote the martial arts community with their
"Martial Arts
Entertainment Radio and Magazine"
giving martial artists and martial arts fans from
around the world a better chance to be heard and scene.
